Hello! My name is Grace Paynter (ironic, I know), and I welcome you to GigiBop!

Growing up in a creative household, I spent much of my time exploring, practicing, and making art. It was not until I enrolled at West Chester University that I confidently identified as an artist. Through my studies I learned the foundation of studio arts, but it was during my third year that I discovered a style that felt my own.

For a while, I turned to an imagined world as a source of solace. I began bringing that world to life through painting with non-mimetic colors and whimsical linework. I translated my personal experiences & emotions into dreamlike landscapes, and found inspiration from the smaller elements that give them meaning. From botanicals, creatures & characters, and architecture, I continue to expand this self inspired place. 

Named after my childhood nickname, GigiBop serves as a portal into my heart and imagination. I create artwork that is both playful and personal, while inviting others to discover their own connection within it.
